ugh
Online dating sites are a complete waste of time and money.
The Mormony ones especially make me a bit nauseous. I don't want to check a box that qualifies my church attendance (although I did giggle at one that said "I go as long as it's after 9:00"). I feel like all of the guys on there are soooooooo old. Ones screenname was "Newwidower". And then there is the man with the handlebar mustache... Not sexy... I don't want you to "wink" at me. Oh and this statement is a real winner too "I was looking for a new cell phone. Just got that, now I'm looking for a wife".
*Gag*
Maybe I'll just buy another cat.

I did the LDS online dating thing for a few months after the mission. It was interesting. There was one guy I actually really liked and he was normal and stuff, but our schedules didn't work out to actually get together until after I was already getting serious with the guy I ended up marrying.
Then there was the egotistical showguy who would sing me showtunes over the phone and tell me how awesome he was (even though he dropped out of college because he was too talented).
Then there was the guy who was working on his degree at age 30, still living at home, and picked me up in his parents' station wagon to take me to dinner. We ate and then I had enough time to drink 4 entire glasses of water AFTER the meal because he kept on picking at his dinner and yapping away at me. It was sooo boring. I felt bad, too, because I had to keep on excusing myself to go to the bathroom (because I was drinking water to entertain myself) and I had more fun in the bathroom than I did talking with him.
What a variety of people you find online. :)
A variety of people is so true. I have met several men that were well, interesting....but then I met my now husband. He is a normal guy that I never would have thought that I would end up with.
I know there are alot of frogs out there, but there are princes too. Don't give up on online dating. It works, just find the right site for you.
Have you had the polygamist guys contact you yet, those are my faves, yep had a few get in touch with me. I have also had run ins with the guys that are still married, lie about their age(among other things, and the list goes on. There are a few normal guys out there but they can be tough to spot.
